What is TEDx?

TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities. TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are organized independently under a free license granted by TED. These events are not controlled by TED, but event organizers agree to abide by our format, and are offered guidelines for curation, speaker coaching, event organizing and more. They learn from us and from each other. More than 3000 events are now held annually.
The goal of a TEDx event is to spark conversation, connection and community.

Our Mission: Spread Ideas

TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. On TED.com, we're building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TED and TEDx events around the world, all year long.

In fact, everything we do — from our Conferences to our TED Talks to the projects sparked by The Audacious Project, from the global TEDx and TED Translators communities to the TED-Ed lesson series — is driven by this goal: How can we best spread great ideas?

TED is owned by a nonprofit, nonpartisan foundation. Our agenda is to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.

Our Theme

CTRL+ALT+DEL

CTRL+ALT+DEL is a keyboard shortcut to access your PC's task manager. The task manager of the PC is just like the 'brain' of your PC. One key feature of the task manager is that you are in control of every app that is in your PC. You can force some of them to stop running, and delete apps that you are no longer using.  You can even switch some of the apps for better alternatives.
This relates back to our mind. We have the power, and the choice, to alter our memories. TEDx talks inspire to initiate new perspectives to its listeners, because we as humans have got the ability to accept new ideas from others. And we also have the ability to update our perspectives, and even 'delete', or forget, perspectives.
That is why we proudly announce the theme of TEDxMCKL 2020, “ CTRL+ALT+DELETE ”
